My husband is the KING of the sneaky sneaky happy surprises

Yesterday was Valentines day and we say that we don't do it.  Well, I don't do it.  Jason on the other hand seems to be the sneaky husband who pampers his woman (aka ME).  Yesterday all I said I wanted was a bath and ice cream.  Which to be honest was the truth.  But my loving man had something else in mind.  He talked me into going to the Italian restaurant down the road since he was not feeling like cooking.  I really like the food there, so I said ok.  We get there and they have a Valentines dinner special and it was yummy bottle of wine, appetizer, meal and dessert for cheap!  After the appetizer was taken away the manager brings all the female patrons a red rose.  This I think was amazing bit of marketing because it was so nice!  Jason and I like to read when restaurants and that is what we were doing.  So he gets up and says he needs his Torts book from the car.  I nod and continue reading and drinking an excellent glass of wine.  A few minutes later he comes back says he left his tort book at school, ok.  Next our waitress walks up with a bunch of daisies!!  My favorite flower and what I carried on my wedding day.  Jason had called the florist beside the restaurant last week to get daisies in, and planned the whole night just for that one moment's look on my face.  It was very moving to me.  And that is one of the reasons why I love him beyond reasoning.

This is not the only time my husband has done this.  I think it was last year he had me meet him and friends downtown to give me a wooden box (I love boxes) the had a silver necklace in it.  There was the dress and jewelry surprise at Anne's wedding.  He actually left me in the hotel room to go buy me a dress that would match the jewelry that he was going to surprise me (pictured right)!  And for our anniversary he managed to surprise me with tickets to the Celtic Woman show that was in town.
