I am not sure how I did it but I did. I came out of my childhood and younger years and I don't really know how to make a good biscuit. This may not seem like a horrid thing to most people. Most people also never ate my Momma's or my Grandmother Wilhoite's biscuits (to which they are missing big time). My family loves biscuits and I my husband joined in the mass addiction when he entered my family. I think he already liked biscuits but the loving came when he had a Wilhoite biscuit. Sadly Momma cannot teach me her secrets and my lovely sister has try to show me the tricks. Well I still felt like a failure as I produced batch after batch of little bricks.
So I am trying again to teach myself. I am no where near the cook Momma was but I will keep trying until I have something close to what she did. I have baked a few batches and I am seeing fluffier biscuits each time. Each time I notice they are not rising enough for my taste. I will have to try and get an actual biscuit cutter. I think using a glass is smushing them down too much.
