I will say it again what is wrong with Rejection Letters!!

Sorry I am in a state this morning and just beyond annoyed.  I have moved home, which can be a good thing, and I am still looking for a job.  That is not a good thing but it is necessity.

What I want to know is why human resource departments stopped doing simple rejection letters??  It really takes less then 5 min to create a form letter/email stating that you are going with another candidate. Yes, I admit getting those letters are a painful experience but I will argue that they are a very needed part of the process.  It lets your applicants know it is time to move their efforts, hope, and time to another job posting.  I cannot fathom a reason why not to send a note out, just think about being polite.  I as a applicant have taken the time to seek you out, prepare an "application" and send it to you.  All you need to do is acknowledge receipt (usually an automatic email generated by your email server), determine if my qualifications fit, AND respond accordingly!

I think Human Resource departments should go back and read Emily Post!
