So about 2 weeks ago I knelt down at work and my knee popped PAINFULLY. Well the popping is not so abnormal for me but that amount of pain was. The bad side was the pain lingered well into the next week. I decided to head into to the Doctor to finds out what was going on. Well, he put me in brace and some medicine to reduce the swelling. I was also told to stay off and limit my activity level. Yep...that is what I was told. After 3 days I was in tears, so much pain all over my leg. I called the Doctor back since the nurse (who gave me the directions) told me not to take any other pain reliever. Yes, no pain reliever and no yoga...AGONY! The Doctor over the phone cleared me to take my Alieve! I decided to go back to a small amount of yoga and back to walking on my 15s. That meant far less pain over the last few days.
Yesterday was my follow up. The Doctor felt my knee again (YES a Doctor actually touched my knee) and could still feel the popping and grinding. It appears that I popped the protective fluid bubble in my knee. That will take ages to heal if ever. I also have
Runner's Knee, no it is not from my running and I can have PT to correct it but I have been cleared to walk as much as I like again. I am not sure when that is to start but I am already trying to research stretches that will be beneficial to my recovery. Which includes some of my favorite yoga poses chair, down dog, up dog and low lunge. :) Guess what I am going to be doing every morning from here on out.
I just thought the
Bunny Yoga was too cute and this has most of my needed poses in it!
